About Lawson Medical
Lawson Medical Practice was founded in January of 2020 by Dr. Stephanie Lawson DNP, APRN, FNP-C. The mission of Lawson Medical Practice is to serve and treat with compassionate, cost-effective care.
Stephanie is a 1995 graduate from North Jackson High School. She began her nursing education at Northeast Alabama earning an Associate of Science in Nursing. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University. Stephanie continued her education at Auburn University, graduating as an honors student with a Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner degree. Then went on to earn a Doctorate in Nursing from Auburn University. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and licensed in Georgia and Tennessee.
With over 25 years of nursing experience in a variety of settings including ICU, ER, adjunct teaching, home health, hospice, and primary care. Stephanie
holds memberships in Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Chattanooga Area Nurses in Advanced Practice, Auburn Forever, American Association of Colleges of Nursing Graduate Nursing Student Academy, Auburn Alumni Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of GA.
